2K Sports Announces Free Web-Based Home Run Pinball Mini-Game for The BIGS™ 2 on Facebook and 2K Sports’ Website

July 07, 2009 – 2K Sports today announced a free web-based Home Run Pinball mini-game for The BIGS™ 2 is now available to play on Facebook and 2KSports.com. Based on the arcade-style version of the popular in-game mode, the Home Run Pinball mini-game will provide an addictively fun gameplay experience that will feature all four environments from the console game, including Las Vegas, Shibuya in Tokyo, Times Square and Retro Times Square.

By using a standard PC or Mac keyboard, fans will have the chance to step up to the plate as Prince Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers, cover athlete and spokesman for The BIGS 2, to see how many home runs they can hit, along with how many points they can rack-up before striking out. Facing a variety of fastballs and changeups, players will try to smash home runs into windows and neon signs to climb up the online leaderboard. Facebook members will be able to challenge their friends to beat their score via Facebook Connect.

In addition to playing a quick game, eligible players may sign up on 2KSports.com to participate in a special The BIGS 2 Home Run Pinball Sweepstakes. Ten lucky winners will be randomly selected for a chance to win an official The BIGS 2 t-shirt. The Home Run Pinball mini-game and The BIGS 2 Home Run Pinball Sweepstakes will only be available online through August 9, 2009. A special widget version of Home Run Pinball is also now available and can be embedded on sites for fans to share.

On July 7, 2009, the Big Leagues will get BIGGER with The BIGS 2. Rated E 10+ by the ESRB, The BIGS 2 will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment systems, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, and Wii™ system from Nintendo.
